Five years after the very first commit for Refined Storage 2, it has left beta and is officially released. This marks a complete rewrite of the mod, laying a stronger foundation for the future.
Beta period
The beta lasted 6 months and was an intensive phase of testing and refinement.
Across this period, 77 bugs were resolved. The final betas saw only minor, hard-to-reproduce bugs being fixed, and today the issue tracker stands at zero open bugs.
This stability gave us the confidence to move forward with a full release.
Special thanks to all the testers and people reporting issues on GitHub and Discord.
Goal
Refined Storage 2 has been rebuilt from the ground up with the following goals in mind:
-
A strong focus on code quality
-
Long-term maintainability
-
Mod loader independence (support for Fabric and NeoForge)
-
A complete rethinking and modernization of nearly every feature
