Five years after the very first commit for Refined Storage 2, it has left beta and is now officially released for Minecraft 1.21.1. This marks a complete rewrite of the mod, establishing a stronger foundation for the future.
Beta period
The beta lasted 6 months and was an intensive phase of testing and refinement.
During this time, 77 bugs were resolved. We not only tracked issues on our own bug tracker, but also monitored GitHub issues and Discord of popular modpacks, responding to, reviewing, and fixing all reported problems.
The final betas saw only minor, hard-to-reproduce bugs being addressed, and today the issue tracker stands at zero open issues.
This level of stability gave us the confidence to move forward with a full release.
Goal
Refined Storage 2 has been rebuilt from the ground up with the following goals in mind:

Addons
At release, Refined Storage 2 already has an impressive ecosystem of addons:

7 official addons, including the Mekanism chemical integration.

Refined Types, which introduces support for Forge Energy, Source (Ars Nouveau), and Souls (Industrial Foregoing) across Refined Storage components — enabling storage, transfer, viewing, and autocrafting with these resource types.

Next steps
Planning for Refined Storage v2.1 is already underway. A roadmap will be published soon, outlining the features and improvements planned for the next iteration.
